IfIS Masterclass in Implementation Science 2025
This autumn, the Institute for Implementation Science (IfIS) at the University of Zurich once again invites participants to take part in the Masterclass in Implementation Science. This continuing education opportunity is aimed at healthcare professionals, researchers, clinicians, and policy-makers who wish to deepen their understanding of implementation science.
Implementation Science (ImpSci) enhances and accelerates the integration and dissemination of research findings and evidence-based practices in healthcare. It also focuses on the de-implementation of low-value care.
Track 1 (online): 17 October and 24 October 2025

Rolf Heusser, why are teaching and training offers part of Smarter Health Care's offerings?
To solve the complex problems in healthcare, it requires actors who are willing to engage in a fruitful Dialogue between research, practice, and politics. Future leaders and experts in public health should be prepared for these tasks through our continuing education activities. The teaching and training offers from Smarter Health Care aim to provide participants with skills and competencies to navigate the modern healthcare system, which is focused on integration and coordination.
Who is the target audience?
The offers are aimed at young researchers as well as young representatives from politics, practice, and patient groups. They are being prepared for potential future leadership roles in healthcare.
What are the offerings?
The offerings are based on the success of the Emerging Health Care Leaders EHCL program from the National Research Programme NRP 74 "Smarter Health Care". The proven skill trainings in leadership, communication, and knowledge transfer are continued and also offered to young leaders in healthcare. What are the benefits for participants from research, practice, and politics?
Participants acquire skills needed for leadership roles in healthcare. Additionally, they become members of an integrated practice and research community. This community is the ideal starting point for planning, organizing, and conducting projects in the field of health services research, leading to valuable results for the Swiss healthcare system.
